"Do you paint anything else?" Many of my paintings are of boats on the water. This is fairly ironic since I live about 100 minutes from the Chesapeake Bay in a beautiful county full of horses, wineries, and historic buildings.

This gallery shows some of my other paintings. More paintings will be added soon.

20" x 20" Woman's March on Washington - January 21, 2017

20" x 20" Woman's March on Washington - January 21, 2017

I had never been to a political march before. I had to go to show my concern for what I was seeing from this new administration. I now know what over 500,000 peaceful people look like in one place. This painting was taken from photos I took at the march on 14th Street. We marched from the Air and Space Museum to the White House. I posted this painting to a watercolor Facebook site and I was asked by a wonderful 70 year old woman if she could use this image to make postcards to send to the White House on March 15th.  I agreed but asked if I could get credit on the postcard for the painting. She suggested my website. I had been procrastinating on creating a website so this was my kick in the pants. Be patient. I will be improving it as I go but this is my first attempt..

8" x 11" Sheep from Lovettesville, VA

8" x 11" Sheep from Lovettesville, VA

Western Loudoun County, VA

I spent the summer of 2016 working as a master gardener for a company who sent us to breath-taking properties about Loudoun County, VA. It was sweaty back breaking work which I enjoyed immensely. After sitting in a cubical for over seven years looking at a screen I thrived at this new office location. After working one morning I stopped at the next door neighbors farm and had a chat with these sheep.

14" x 10" Johnathan and Goldust 16

14" x 10" Johnathan and Goldust 16

Johnathan and Goldust 16 live outside Lincoln, VA. Johnathan had been around for as long as I can remember driving by and that is at least 11 years. Anyone know? I know a day will come when I won't be around to say hello to Johnathan so I had to paint him. To me this is western Loudoun County.
